How to Package broken damaged cracked LCD?

Method 1: Suggested Packing Steps (No Bubble Bags)

Package everything in order to make sure that LCDs are protected. This will also save space too.

1.Put every LCD of two screens face to face.

2.Put each couple back to back.

Attention:

a. Pile the screens into stacks of up to 10 pcs, but don’t do more than 10 pcs.

b. Wrap each of these stacks in bubble wrap.

c. Tape the bubble wrap so that it doesn’t open up during shipment to Recellparts.

d. Use packing peanuts to fill up the box so that it has cushioning.

3. Then, place the bubble wrapped groups across the cushioning. Ensure that packing peanuts surround these bubble wrapped groups.

If you are sending multiple layers, add a padding of some sort (such as a stuffed envelope) in between layers. This will prevent movement.

4. Use packing peanuts to surround the bubble wrapped screens and in the interior lining of the box. Doing these steps will prevent movement and minimize the potential for damage.

Tape the box firmly closed so that it does not open.

Method 2: Suggested Packing Steps (Have Bubble Bags):

1) Using the bubble bags that you may have received your LCD screens in is best for shipping. Steps are very similar to method 1 above.

2) Place LCD glass in bubble bags with flex cables positioned towards the opening of the bag.

3) Wrap sets of 10 screens in a rubber band tight enough to keep them together, but not tight enough to cause damage.

4) Place in the packing box with a layer of crinkled newspaper on the bottom, sides and top of box.

Standard LCD Packing Rules

1) Before you tape the box shut, close the box lid and give the package a hard five-second shake. If you can feel any contents move around, more filler material is needed.

2) Select a box size that is appropriate for the quantity of screens and ensure that reused boxes are sturdy and free of damage.

Use sufficient tape to seal up the box

It’s highly recommended that each box contains no more than 350-400 LCDs or exceeds 35lbs in weight. Also make sure you do not exceed the weight limit of the box.

Writing “Fragile – Glass Contents” on all faces of the box in large visible writing will likely increase the care that carrier employees take when handling the parcel.
